Full Job Description

Lexium Technologies has an exciting internship opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated IT Support Intern to join our team from January 2024 through June 2023 for approximately 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.

The ideal candidate will be an NYSC Corp Member or an active tertiary institution student . The successful candidate will be relationship oriented, efficient, a strong communicator, and be willing to learn. In this role, you will provide day-to-day application, network, and end-user technical support for our clients.

 IT Support Interns are responsible for (but not limited to):

• Providing direct day-to-day application, network, and end-user technical support
• Responding to help desk tickets, emails, and instant message requests
• Maintaining detailed case documentation to allow for collaborative troubleshooting and resolution
• Providing basic support of our clients in house technologies (i.e. iPads, printers, copiers, audio/video systems, network connectivity etc.)

The goals of the internship will be to:

• Gain exposure to real world IT software, hardware, systems and processes
• Acquire hands on learning experience in the technology arena
• Learn how to work with different types of personalities
• Learn to work independently with little supervision

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

• Basic troubleshooting skills of Windows 10,networks, printers, mobile devices, wireless networks, and be willing to learn
• Available to work 35-40 hours per week between 8:00am – 4:00pm office hours
• Basic customer service, problem solving skills, and good communication skills
• Knowledge of help desk software, databases and remote control tools
• Good troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
• Customer service orientation and ability to effectively communicate technical advice to a non-technical audience
• Adept at working with different types of personalities and remaining calm under pressure
• Ability to diagnose and resolve local and remote computing problems
• Ability to lift 20kg or more is required

The ideal candidate will be a Nigerian tertiary institution graduate (OND,NCE, ND, HND, BSC) in any field with minimum of 1 year experience in IT sales . The successful candidate will be relationship oriented, efficient, a strong communicator, willing to learn and committed to providing first-class IT solutions for SMEs and Start Ups.  Account Associate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
• Work with TechOps to increase the visibility of company products/services.
• Effectively plan and own your own working day to ensure you sell at the best times for customers whilst achieving targets.
• Sell cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, managed services and software as a service (SaaS)
• Develop and manage leads in conjunction with line manager
• Attend exhibitions and networking events
• Run the company web-chat to qualify prospects and promote products to set strategic customer database
